Empress Energy - 2023

I try to do one self-portrait every year. In October 2023, I decided I really wanted to make an effort to paint which had never been my strongest medium. I chose a bunch of still life objects in my home to start painting with acrylics again, collaged them with digital drawings using Procreate and turned myself into my favorite tarot card. The piece, Flammin’ Hottie, in this collection was displayed in the South Bend Museum of Art in the Around the Bend summer exhibition of 2024.
